New QB, Stadium, How About a New Logo for the Chicago Bears?

With a new quarterback in town and a new stadium on the horizon, why can't a new logo be on the way for the Chicago Bears?

The Bears, one of the NFL's most historic franchises, have stuck to tradition in terms of their branding. Chicago has used the iconic wishbone "C" logo since the 1970s, while the orange and navy mascot head has existed since 1999.

In 2023, the Bears switched to promoting the mascot head as their primary logo, relegating the wishbone "C" to the secondary option.

But no matter how historic a logo might be, that shouldn't stop people from having fun. TikTok creator Emily Morgan Creates , who specializes in unique redesigns of logos featuring franchise nostalgia, took a crack at the Chicago Bears insignia.

The use of Mike Ditka's aviators and sweater vest is, without a doubt, creative, and the bear paw is a cool addition to the wishbone logo. In isolation, the elements are well-designed and visually appealing.

But does the reimagined mascot head tiptoe its way into the dog category? One could argue yes. The concept logo emits serious Tibetan Mastiff energy. And while the "Chicago Mastiffs" does sound like a cool team name, it'd be a pretty drastic rebranding for a team name created in the 1920s.

The current emblems for the Bears are about as close to perfect as you can get. Though I don't prefer Morgan's logos to the current Bears branding, it's always fun to peruse new and creative designs.

    Here's to the Mastiffs.
