This Sunday night, the Chicago Bears will take on the Houston Texans under the primetime lights. Instead of rocking their traditional white road jerseys, the Bears will be sporting their alternate orange jerseys and helmets for Sunday Night Football.

Upon the announcement, the calls for other former alternates and the lack of love for the uniforms became rather loud within the fan base. Since the orange-on-orange look's introduction during the 2022 season, the Bears faithful have not liked the choice by the organization, and the team hasn't enjoyed a lot of success in the secondary color.

While the look hasn't historically been the Bears' good luck charm — with a 1-3 record when wearing the all-orange ensemble — the team and its fans remain hopeful. After all, superstitions aside, it's the gameplay that ultimately dictates success , and a new era of Bears football has expectations humming at a new level.

The mixed reactions from the fan base reflect a spectrum of anticipation and nostalgia, with some embracing the change, while others remaining skeptical. The Bears are aiming to kick off the season 2-0, a feat not achieved since 2020, and they hope the vibrant orange will symbolize a fresh, victorious start.

For those eager to witness this colorful spectacle, tune in at 7:20 PM this Sunday on NBC and Peacock.
