Chicago Blackhawks Release 2024 Training Camp Roster

The Chicago Blackhawks announced Tuesday their 2024 training camp roster, which features 32 forwards, 15 defensemen, and six goalies. A mix of returning players, veteran newcomers, and prospects comprises the 53-player group.

Besides a few lingering ailments, the Blackhawks are mostly healthy entering training camp.

Defenseman Artyom Levshunov, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, is dealing with a right foot injury that will delay his ramp-up period. Goalie Laurent Brossoit, an offseason free-agent acquisition, is recovering from meniscus surgery on his right knee. Prospects Marcel Marcel, Alex Pharand, and Marek Vanacker also received injury designations to begin training camp.

The Blackhawks will embark on their preparation for the 2024-25 season when Thursday's practice opens training camp . Chicago has two-plus weeks of practices with six preseason games interspersed before traveling to Utah on Oct. 8 to open the regular season.
