Are the Chicago Bears, dare I say it, back?

It's definitely hard to pin down what exactly "back" refers to. Is it the 2018 Bears? 2011? 2005? Or do we have to go back to 1985?

    Whatever.

    Da Bears are back.

On Sunday, the Bears pounded Andy Dalton and the Carolina Panthers in a 36-10 victory , extending their Soldier Field win streak to eight games.

Here are six key takeaways from Week 5.

    Patience is a virtue.

On Sunday, Caleb Williams put the NFL on notice. Williams completed 20 of 29 passes (68%) for 304 yards , two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Williams' Week 5 showing was, without a doubt, his best performance of the season.

In his three years with the Bears, Justin Fields threw for over 300 yards once.

Caleb Williams has done it twice already.

Williams has shown multiple times in the last two weeks his ability to progress through reads and deliver accurate balls. He's continued to improve week after week for the Bears. Everything is slowing down for the rookie.

Even more encouraging, Williams has been dominating against pressure.

Following a Week 2 disaster against the Houston Texans, Williams appears to be more comfortable handling pressure. Chicago's offensive line is also playing at a higher level. As Williams continues to improve, he'll be better equipped to make up for deficiencies on the line.

Now, how long will it take for Dan Orlovsky, Chase Daniel, RG3, Merril Hoge, and the other hundred or so talking heads to start pretending like they always loved Williams as a prospect? When will we hear they always believed the Bears made the correct decision in trading Fields?

Time will tell. We kept the receipts.
