Bulls guard Lonzo Ball is set to make his long-awaited return to game action Wednesday against the Timberwolves. Ball will be limited to 16 game minutes, per Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic .

Josh Giddey Extension Talks

When the Bulls traded Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Josh Giddey, Arturas Karnisovas said Chicago saw All-Star potential in Giddey. Many were concerned about the Buls having to negotiate a new contract for Giddey so soon as he's set to become a restricted free agent after the 2024-25 season.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania , the Bulls are expected to engage in extension talks with Giddey. Karnisovas may be hoping to lock up Giddey on a team-friendly deal via an extension before seeing if the newcomer's play this season can up his value before restricted free agency.

Through three preseason games , the Bulls are averaging a blistering 47.3 three-point attempts per game. This is a significant transformation for the Bulls, who averaged 32.1 three-point attempts per game last season , ranking 26th in the league. It's a small sample size of course, so it remains a fair question as to whether the Bulls' preseason three-point shooting will translate to the regular season.
