Naked Man Attacks Bystander after Two-Vehicle Accident in Manchester
On Saturday afternoon, Manchester Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on the Hillsboro Highway near McDonald’s. Following the initial investigation, Adam E. Lucas was taken into custody. Lucas was involved in the accident, and then, according to the arrest warrant issued to Sgt. Benton Brown, with Manchester Police, Lucas physically assaulted a bystander. He apparently chased the victim, took that person to the ground, and struck them multiple times. During the alleged assault, Lucas allegedly removed all of his clothing. He was exposing himself to various adults and children in the area.
Scammer Working on Bedford County Residents
The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a scam affecting the community. The scammer says that you have missed jury duty. The caller then goes on to say that you must pay a fine of $500 and meet at the Sheriff’s Office. The caller has identified themselves as an employee of the Sheriff’s Office and might go by Sgt. Bobby Davis.

Raider Baseball Comes from Behind for Win and Lady Raiders Drop Final Game in Gulf Shores
It came down to Coffee County’s final at-bat in Manchester, as the Red Raiders pulled off a come-from-behind win over Warren County in baseball action on Wednesday night. Down 5-3 in the bottom of the 7th, the Red Raiders loaded the bases. Nate Rutledge reached on an error, scoring Trevor Jesse. Colter Neel then walked to score Cole Pippenger. Blake Hillis came to the plate and hit a shot that burned the Pioneer centerfielder to score Bird Fellers. Coffee County walked off with a 6-5 District 9-AAAA win to improve to 2-0 and 6-6 overall.
Close Call at Tullahoma Airport on Wednesday Morning
An airplane that had landed at the Tullahoma Airport on Wednesday morning was taxing on the runway and went into a fence after apparently losing its brakes. After the plane allegedly lost its brakes, it turned right to avoid crashing into another aircraft and hit the fence. The airplane came to a stop within 10 feet of the Tullahoma Airport terminal. The FAA will do a final report. There were no injuries.
