Tullahoma softball dropped a slugfest with Cascade 20-16 Wednesday night at East Middle School in Tullahoma. Kylee Holt and Addie Norman led the charge for the Lady Cats as Holt score four runs and sole two bases, reaching in five of her six plate appearances (1 hit, 5 walks). Norman also scored four times, snagged a bag, had 2 RBI and reached in five of six trips to the plate (3 hits, 1 walk 1 hit by pitch).
Raiders Fall to Blaze in Another Duel between Pitchers
On Wednesday evening in Manchester, Coffee County hosted Blackman in high school baseball. On Tuesday, the teams battled in a pitcher’s duel that ended in a 2-0 Blaze win. Body of Missing Tullahoma Man has been Discovered
The Tullahoma Police Department has confirmed the discovery of the body of Dillon Peluso in a wooded area on N College Street on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Peluso was reported missing following a disturbance call approximately 10 days ago. An autopsy has been requested, and presently, no determination has been made regarding Peluso’s cause of death.
Joann’s Fabric and Crafts Files for Bankruptcy; Stores to Remain Open
Joann’s Fabric and Crafts, the 81-year-old fabric and craft retailer, has filed for bankruptcy as it struggles with customers cutting back on discretionary spending. In a statement Monday, the Ohio-based company said it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and has secured $132 million in fresh funding, which will help reduce its debt by half, which had ballooned to $1 billion. Its roughly 850 stores and website will remain open for business.
