Marietta (Ga.) three-star linebacker Anthony Kruah officially has an offer from Georgia. Kruah is committed to North Carolina at the moment.

The Marietta star committed to the Tar Heels back on April 21. Even as the Tar Heels wowed the talented linebacker, Georgia has eyed him from afar.

Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann made a stop at Marietta on Thursday to watch Kruah’s spring scrimmage. The offer came the next day.

Upon receiving the offer Kruah admits it was an emotional experience. Georgia has always been a ‘dream school’ for Kruah.

“My emotions were definitely all over the place due to Georgia being a dream school,” Kruah told DawgsHQ. “I’ve been working for moments like this and I won’t stop.”

For Kruah the offer from Georgia is an eye-opening option. For Kruah, it’s a bit of validation for his hard work.

“This is definitely one to open my eyes and see that I am doing things right and I need to stay on this path,” Kruah said. “Georgia has always been top five on my list with or without the offer.”

Georgia checks a lot of boxes for Anthony Kruah

Kruah has paid attention to Georgia for years. The Bulldogs’ development of a long list of NFL players under head coach Kirby Smar t is one of the major selling points to Kruah.

“Georgia’s is the program to be at especially under coach Smart and the coaching staff that develops NFL players,” Kruah said.

In Kruah’s eyes, Georgia’s coaching staff and culture combine to make getting to the NFL an easier process. There’s also a level of care for the work in the classroom in addition to what happens on the football field.

“Georgia’s coaches also push their athletes in the classroom I saw it live on my last visit there,” Kruah said. “Another thing that caught my attention is just the way coaches interact with players but also how players interact with coaches and them building a safe space as well as the amount of NFL players Coach Smart and Coach Schumann produced.”

Kruah says he plans on visiting Georgia at some point. He has not set that visit as of now but expects to in the ‘near future’.
