Today marks Day 1 of Matt Jones’ 10-week vacation around the globe. Soon, the host of Kentucky Sports Radio will land in Rome, Italy, leaving behind the KSR airwaves for an entire summer. Matt’s final show before his European voyage was last Friday at Don Franklin Nissan in Somerset. His next show will be Monday, August 5.
In the meantime, KSR is in good hands for the summer, with a packed schedule of guest hosts and more of the regular crew. Each Sunday night, I will write a post like the one you are reading now, introducing the week ahead for Kentucky Sports Radio. We assure you that the show will continue to be as engaging and entertaining as ever while Matt takes an extended break, and we are excited about the summer shows ahead through his absences.
However, this week, we lead off with a replay episode from the past as iHeart and its employees observe Memorial Day. The Matt-less summer begins tomorrow with Ryan Lemond and me at KSBar and Grille in Lexington, with Shannon The Dude in Louisville at the iHeart studios. On Tuesday’s show, we will recap the three-day weekend, including Kentucky’s place in the NCAA Baseball Tournament, plus a preview of the NCAA Lexington Regional ahead. You can expect lots of baseball talk in the coming days.
