Bo Bassett revealed his latest recruiting update Wednesday through his newsletter, eliminating three schools.
As far as home visits are concerned, per his last update, Bassett was excited to welcome them beginning in August. The first one to visit was Rutgers .
It is to-be-determined if Bassett will welcome in another home visit amid his schedule of running camps and training for the World Championships.
“Another amazing recruiting week in the books,” Bassett wrote in his newsletter . “August is going to be one of my busiest months of my life! I am running a camp in Oklahoma City, a few local clinics, world team training camp at the Olympic training center, helping Melvin with his final prep for worlds and then my last week of training before Worlds in Spain.
“Squeezing home visits in will be next to impossible. The Priority now is the World Championships. So excited for September: World Championships September 2-9 in Spain and Who’s Number One September 29th in Johnstown, PA.”

Bassett is set to represent Team USA at the U20 World Championships in Spain in September following a Gold Medal at Pan Ams earlier this month. Ranked No. 1 at 144 pounds in the high school rankings, Bassett is seen as a generational prospect.
Bassett was also a 2024 Pennsylvania State Champion as a sophomore.
On a edition of Baschamania this summer, Bassett opened up on what he looked forward to in the recruiting process. One thing’s for sure, he’ll take his time.
“I’m extremely excited. It’s gonna be fun,” Bassett said prior to when coaches could officially call him. “That post that I put out, I just kind of want to make the point that everyone’s in the (running) and I’m not really slotted in anywhere, I don’t prefer any other schools over anyone else and I’m really excited to be open as far as recruiting.
“I’m excited to go see where I best fit and I think that there’s a lot of different factors that I’m looking into but I think it’s just where I can be the most successful and get the you know, the most out of it. Going to take my visits, I’m not going to commit on day one or probably within the first month to six months. I think that it’s one of those things that I’m going to take my time and really make the right decision, but you only get that decision once. And I’m a pretty loyal guy so I don’t really see myself transferring out ever. So I think wherever I go, that’s where I’m going to be for four maybe (five) years … so really excited for this process.”
