Tyler Barnes dealing with challenges of the unknown in recruiting

Tyler Barnes is a numbers guy. A large part of his job on a daily basis is understanding and projecting roster needs and numbers for the Iowa football program. Right now, good luck trying to figure out where those numbers are headed.

At media day, Barnes spoke at length about the House case decision that will push the roster size for Iowa football to 105 players. Will Iowa be going to 105 scholarships players are will they look at a different way to parse out the total number? What about the distribution of money to players, which could start next year? How much of those dollars will go to the Iowa football program? Who will get those funds? What are some of the needs for Iowa in the Class of 2025?
