Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star defensive lineman Jeramiah McCloud is solidly committed to Florida. The No. 446 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings is however keeping his options with Georgia among the programs that McCloud is still looking to consider.

“My options are still open and I’m still looking at other schools,” McCloud said. “I like Georgia. I like the intensity on the defensive line.”

McCloud respects Georgia as a program. He has been on campus a few times throughout the process. The Bulldogs were one of McCloud’s top contenders before he committed to Florida back on May 2.

“It’s Georgia,” McCloud said. “That’s the best team in the country. Just knowing that if they talk to me I’m definitely open to talking to them. It’s not a lot for them to do. Them talking to you means a lot.”

McCloud is mulling potentially taking official visits in the fall. Georgia, who offered officially on August 1st, could be one of those visits. For McCloud, he’s still looking to build relationships.

“I’m looking forward to the relationship and communicating with the coaches,” McCloud said.

McCloud already has a few connections to Georgia’s 2025 class. He played youth football with Todd Robinson . He’s been in touch with the four-star defensive back commit.

“I know Todd Robinson from Valdosta, that’s my dog we played youth ball together so he’s been trying to get me back over there on campus,” McCloud said.

Georgia currently has two commits in the Class of 2025 on the defensive line and are in pursuit of the top talents in the country ( Elijah Griffin and Justus Terry ) at the position, but after losing the pledge of Christian Garrett on Sunday, the Bulldogs should – and likely will – consider all options. Consider McCloud one of those.
