Now that Florida State’s busy summer of recruiting is over, it’s time to share our early 2025 class predictions heading into the season.

The Seminoles currently have 13 commitments , and there is still work to be done with unofficial and official visits during the 2024 season.

We will have additional mock signing classes as the early signing period approaches in December. The ‘Noles currently have the nation’s No. 11-ranked class.

2025 Class predictions for Florida State

    Quarterback

    Four-star Tramell Jones

This isn’t really a surprise to kick things off as Jones shut down his recruitment in the summer. He has been a huge focus of this Florida State class for a few years now.

    Running back

Four-star RB Byron Louis (New addition)

This is a target that I have felt for a while that Florida State was sitting in a strong spot for despite that push in the spring from Miami. Now there is talk from the Miami side they aren’t pushing as hard for a second back. We’ll see. I personally believe despite all of that, FSU is the team that is expected to win out and I still feel strongly about that.

I also feel that four-star RB Ousmane Kromah is another to keep a very close eye on with FSU. Auburn, Georgia and the ‘Noles are the main teams here. The top team in this race isn’t clear cut as of now. I have heard more about FSU/Auburn lately.

    Wide Receivers

Four-star WR CJ Wiley , Four-star WR Daylan McClutcheon , Four-star WR Malik Clark

It’s been one heck of a haul for Florida State this year at the receiver position as the Seminoles have landed all of their coveted targets. I’m not expecting more in this class at this point. But we also know LSU and Georgia will still push for Wiley, and then South Carolina won’t give up on Clark. Even with that said, the intel suggests that FSU is sitting in a comfortable spot despite other schools still being in the picture for this talented trio.

    Tight end

    Four-star TE Chase Loftin

It feels like we could see another TE addition in this class to go along with Loftin. For now, I would say the biggest one to watch would be five-star TE Elyiss Williams. At this point, he’s still solid in his pledge to Georgia, but FSU is still working it. There are other possibilities, but for now Williams is the only one I know where there is a strong push.

    Offensive line

Five-star OL Solomon Thomas , Four-star OL Peyton Joseph

I still believe this will be an extremely solid OL class when it is finished, with FSU taking likely four in this class. I feel good about where FSU is at with both of its committed prospects in Thomas and Joseph. I’ve also said this before that I’m strongly keeping an eye on the recruitment of four-star OL Max Buchanan , who is committed to Miami.

That recruitment is not over, and I very much expect Max back on the FSU campus for games. There’s a very strong connection with the four-star OL and offensive line coach Alex Atkins. We also have seen how the product on the field shifts things, and for Max I could also seen that playing a factor as we move closer through the season.

In addition, four-star OL Ziyare Addison is another to watch for FSU. The Seminoles aren’t going to go away in this recruitment from what I hear.

    Defensive line

Four-star DT Kevin Wynn , Four-star DT Myron Charles , Four-star DE Javion Hilson

This is a very strong group so far. I do think you will see more additions to this class, but for now there’s no one I would project just yet for FSU. At DT, I would keep an eye on three-star DT Jeremiah McCloud , who is committed to the Gators. Florida State is close to home, and he’s always had a high view of FSU. And if the Gators have another subpar year, this one will heat up quickly.

At DE, I’m still heavily monitoring four-star Jalen Wiggins , a local product who I still feel is in good communication with FSU. I also will say that four-star DE Zion Grady is another, even though he has said a few times this summer he’s firm with Ohio State. Grady loves the development of his position by FSU, and he’s one to keep an eye for a visit.

There is also five-star DT Justus Terry . I expect a visit to Florida State for a game. I do feel Georgia is the school with momentum, but he’s not in a hurry to decide. There’s a long relationship here with Atkins and Odell Haggins that has kept FSU into the picture here.

Then with the commits, I still feel good about where Florida State stands. All three have made it clear that FSU is where they plan to be at this stage.

    Linebackers

Three-star LB Ethan Pritchard , Four-star LB TJ Alford (New), Four-star LB Tavion Wallace (New)

I still feel like FSU ends up with Wallace and Alford when everything eventually shakes out. FSU was one of the clear favorites for Wallace before he pulled a surprise and picked the Razorbacks. I think he’s a guy that plans to take some visits to FSU, and you add that in with another great year for the ‘Noles, and I feel FSU is going to be a tough challenge for Arkansas to hold onto him.

With Alford, he’s been to the FSU campus a lot for the summer and spring. He’s also made it clear his recruitment isn’t closed. His teammate, 2026 prospect EJ White, is also committed to the Seminoles. There’s been some positive vibes here, so he’s another at this stage I feel FSU pulls back in. Then lastly with Pritchard, I feel he’s pretty locked in with FSU.

    Defensive backs

Four-star DB Gregory Thomas , Four-star DB Tony Williams (New), Four-star DB Ladarian Clardy (New), Three-star DB Max Redmon

Redmon and Thomas are very much in a strong place for FSU in this class. Then there are a couple of new additions with Williams and Clardy. On Williams, he has visited FSU often, and I feel as the season goes on and the production on the field keeps rising, the ‘Noles will eventually win out.

On Clardy, I believe the delay in his commitment helps FSU. I also feel that he’s going to see the ‘Noles in action before deciding, and the longer it goes into the season, the more it helps the cause for FSU as the ‘Noles are expecting a solid year from their DBs. I feel that pushes them just ahead of Ole Miss, who currently is the heavy favorite on the RPM.
