Prospects of interest in On3’s initial 2027 top 100

There are some names to know for South Carolina football recruiting in On3’s initial release of the top 100 prospects for the 2027 class.

Number one with a Gamecock tie

Things get started right off the bat with five-star EDGE LaDamion Guyton , who attends the same program as South Carolina freshman safety David Bucey.

USC was one of the earliest offers for the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder.

Three Palmetto State prospects

A trio of players who play high school ball in the South Carolina also made the initial top 100.

The first up is Joshua Dobson , the four-star defensive back out of Catawba Ridge. USC’s offered, as has FSU, Texas, and Tennessee, among other Power 4 programs.

At number 64 is Indian Land’s Sequel Patterson , who earned an offer after working out at receiver at the Gamecocks’ camp this summer. Several others, including Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee, have also extended scholarships.

Byrnes running back David Segarra has been on campus multiple times, including more than one camp appearance. He checks in on the list at number 70.

Boston College, Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, UCF, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech have offered. South Carolina has not so far.

Other names to know

While not an exhaustive list, there are some other prospects of interest that made the cut for the first edition of the top 100.

Running back Ezavier Crowell , number 15 in the rankings, attends Jackson High, the same program that has former South Carolina quarterback commitment Landon Duckworth . USC offered early there.

South Carolina’s also offered Texas RB Landen Williams-Callis (number 27), Florida LB Amarri Irvin ,

EDGE Justin Weeks (number 78) worked out with the Gamecocks’ staff this summer in Columbia during a session of OL/DL camp.
