    Newsstand: Former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh says NCAA has ‘no credibility’

    Former Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh continues to battle with the NCAA. The organization slapped Harbaugh with a four-year show cause over minor recruiting violations and his apparent failure to cooperate with the investigation. Michigan was also recently dealt a notice of allegations for a alleged off-campus scouting violations.

    Harbaugh left Michigan in January, opting to return to the NFL with the Los Angeles Chargers. But in a conversation with ESPN recently, he sounded off on the NCAA.

    “They’ve been keeping money away from players for decades,” Harbaugh said, via ESPN . “They just got hit with a $2.7 billion lawsuit. They have no credibility. That’s the truth.”

    Harbaugh is referring to a settlement between the NCAA and three different plaintiffs over name, image and likeness rules. The NCAA is set to pay nearly $3 billion in back damages to former athletes who were unable to monetarily capitalize on their name, image and likeness.
