The Wisconsin On3 Massey Ratings Top 25 list for Sept. 13 shows changes across the board. For the good news, Muskego, Germantown, and Kaukauna moved up one spot. Rice Lake and Menomonie went up two spots, while New Richmond is the biggest winner after improving by three places.
Conversely, Kimberly, Verona Area, Neenah, and Notre Dame De La Baie Academy dropped by one spot. However, that’s not as painful as Bay Port’s fate after freefalling by six places. Here’s where the latest Wisconsin high school football rankings are before another slew of games today.
The On3 Massey Ratings , officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

Previous: No. 2 (+1)
The Warriors started their season with three victories in as many games. While their winning margins are not jaw-dropping, they are doing enough to keep their record unscathed. In their last match, Muskego shut down the Pewaukee Pirates in the second half to secure a 21-7 win. The Warriors generated 268 yards on offense, thanks mainly to Jack Labisch’s 119 rushing yards and one touchdown. Muskego will put their perfect record on the line against fourth-ranked Mukwonago later today.

The Papermakers are not just good on paper. Instead, Kimberly manifested their top-ranked defense by limiting the Bay Port Pirates to 14 points before shutting down Oshkosh West. Against the Wildcats, Braedon Ellefson had 73 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Marcus Doucette had 13 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown. Scoring 84 points in two games ranks them sixth on offense, and they can improve that ranking with wins over Fond Du Lac today and Hortonville on the 20 th .

The Sabers clawed their way to early success, defeating Catholic Memorial, Brookfield Central, and Racine Case to become the third-best Wisconsin high school football team. In their latest game against the Eagles, Robert Beglinger led the way with 97 rushing yards, 89 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Likewise, having one fewer turnover than Case helped spell the difference in a relatively close game. Massey Ratings predict easy victories for Franklin against Park later and Oak Creek next week.

The Indians retained the fourth spot despite losing to the Arrowhead by one point. However, there’s still consolation in the fact that their ground game was unstoppable against the Warhawks. Mason Radobicky led the way with 149 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Nick Martin and Mason Kelley contributed 112 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Mukwonago can return to their winning ways by pulling off an upset against second-ranked Muskego later today.

The Raccoons cruised to a 3-0 record by scoring 93 points and limiting opponents to 21. They completed a 30-0 masterpiece against Kettle Moraine, wherein Alex Seraphine had 69 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Drew Nevermann finished with 103 rushing yards and a touchdown. Likewise, Oconomowoc wore down Kettle Moraine’s defense to submission by converting eight third-down attempts out of 12 tries. The Raccoons will head to a pair of winnable matches, starting with Waukesha West later today and Brookfield Central next week.

The Warhawks returned to the win column via a one-point victory over the Mukwonago Indians. Arrowhead held onto the victory even if their opponents scored 14 fourth-quarter points. Jacob Siner punished the opposition with 195 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Vance Holtz and Mac Bong added a touchdown each. Arrowhead will need their quarterback Vance Holtz and their offense to be at their A-game against Pewaukee later today.

The reigning Division 1 state champions erased their season-opening loss to Arrowhead by scoring back-to-back victories against Fond Du Lac and Brookfield East. Scoring 21 unanswered first-half points was enough for the Hilltoppers to improve their record to 2-1. Tommy Novotny had an exceptional performance versus the Spartans, tallying 169 yards from scrimmage (160 rushing) and two touchdowns. Cal Ferber finished with 99 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Luke Josetti and Mason Steinhoff each had a touchdown pass. Marquette will try to extend their winning streak to three games against Germantown later today.

The Warriors are impressive on both ends of the ball, tallying 127 points in three games while giving up only 24. After shutting down Lincoln, they scored a 39-7 road victory over Marshfield. Rice Lake punished the Tigers with 457 rushing yards. Of that number, Jacob Kunz had 211 yards and two touchdowns, while Lucas Peters added 166 and another touchdown. Peters added an interception off Marshfield quarterback Lukas Halan. After climbing two spots in the latest rankings, Rice Lake can earn victory number four this season by defeating Menomonie tonight.

The Wildcats have surrendered only 13 points in three games, leading the Massey Ratings to hail them as the ninth-best defense in Wisconsin high school football. They allowed only six points to Janesville Parker, but those points didn’t come until the fourth quarter. In that game, quarterback Caleb Hallmark torched the Vikings with 145 passing yards and two touchdowns, while running back Austin Perez chipped in 73 rushing yards and two touchdowns. In addition to dominating the passing game (157-70), Verona Area had three sacks and two interceptions against Parker. They could improve to 4-0 with a win against James Madison Memorial today.

After dropping their season-opener to top-ranked Muskego, they’ve channeled their frustrations by convincingly defeating Menasha (50-13) and Appleton East (42-0). The Patriots had no answers for the Rockets’ punishing ground attack, which generated 233 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Grant Dean added a kick return touchdown to put Neenah’s scoring average to 46 points in their last two games. A tough battle awaits the Rockets today as they take on 20 th -ranked Kaukauna.
