Wisconsin released its injury report ahead of Saturday’s game against Alabama and will be down multiple players.

Going in banged up against the Crimson Tide is certainly not ideal. But, quarterback Tyler Van Dyke , head coach Luke Fickell and the rest of the crew are ready to bring their ‘A’ game.

Wisconsin reveals injury report, down five players

With five players out, Wisconsin better get more out of quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. If he can air it out and control the football, as Tim Tebow pointed out, the Badgers have a chance.

“Well, Tyler Van Dyke has an upside like very few,” Tebow said on SportsCenter. “He can let it rip. This kid can absolutely sling it. (It is so much) fun to watch him play. Like you look at that throw right there. Very few quarterbacks can make that throw on the run. But also, one of his issues is consistency. Four times last year he had multiple INT games, so he can’t have that against Bama and give them any chance.”

So far, Van Dyke hasn’t lit up the stat sheet, but he’s thrown for 406 yards on 38-of-63 passing (60.3%) and one touchdown with zero interceptions.

The home field advantage is real for Wisconsin, since playing in Madison is one of the more difficult challenges in college football. Van Dyke can help get the crowd going.

“But when Bama goes into Camp Randall, the home team always has a shot,” Tebow said. “That’s a hard place to play. But Tyler has to live up to that upside, he’s got to minimize that downside. You can’t have a couple picks in this game when you’re talking about upside and minimizing downside.”
