LSU RB commit Harlem Berry is new 5-star in updated 2025 On300

With the summer in the rearview mirror and football season well underway, On3 has updated its recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Metairie (La.) St. Martin’s Episcopal running back and LSU commit Harlem Berry is the No. 17 overall prospect and a new five-star in the 2025 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2025 rankings features 18 five-star prospects, up three from the previous update in July. Of those 18 five-stars, 15 are committed to college programs. Evaluations will continue as the high school season continues.

The 5-foot-10, 182-pound Berry pledged to the in-state Tigers on Jan. 3 and has long been established as the top-ranked burner in the 2025 cycle. He was the fifth prospect to join LSU’s 2025 class.

“What stood out to me was the fact that if I go to LSU I feel I can make an impact and difference in the running back room. Also all my family and friends will be able to come watch me play anytime,” Berry told On3 of his decision .

Berry is one of eight On3 top-100 recruits committed to LSU this cycle. The Tigers currently have the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings .

“Harlem Berry is the most electric running back in the 2025 cycle, with the ability to be a game-changer in the passing game. He possesses elite burst and effortless movement skills. He transfers his outstanding top end speed onto the field in a functional way and is a threat to take it to the house on any touch. For a young back, he displays outstanding vision, reads blocks and bursts through the line to the second level. The game moves slow for him at the prep level. He has the ability to run through contact and shows balance that belies his size.
