    In recruiting?

There was the breaking news yesterday that Miami four-star 2026 receiver commit Malachi Toney, the No. 240 overall prospect and No. 38 receiver in the On3 Industry Ranking from Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage, has reclassified to the 2025 recruiting class. We had that plus an analysis of what it means for the Canes.

And Miami’s chasing a Georgia commit. That would be Riverview (Fla.) Armwood four-star wide receiver Tyler Williams. Find out if UM’s getting some traction there.

Texarkana (Tx.) Texas High four-star 2027 offensive tackle Qua Ford may live in Texas, but the No. 26 overall prospect and No. 3 offensive tackle in the class has heard plenty about Miami. With an offer now, find out his thoughts.

Another update is with Forney (Texas) running back Javian Osborne. Miami has offered him and there’s reciprocal interest. Get the latest with his situation.

Also notable is our update with Miami commit Jordan Campbell, who visited Florida over the weekend. Are there any concerns regarding his status?

Plus in basketball recruiting we catch up with Tampa (Fla.) Sagemnont School four-star shooting guard commitment Matthew Able. Check out what he’s saying … and who he wants to play with.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

University of South Florida has some exotic stuff on defense …. Posted by ghostfaceCDWright40

Watching them play…..they do a lot up front. Love to blitz, and play with fire. I say play with fire not so much because they blitz a lot. I say play with fire because the way their corners play. A lot of bump and run and I think recievers than can win single coverage off the line would have a field day with a decent Oline.

Everyone who keeps saying they aren’t impressed with Martinez and Fletcher at RB should be impressed for this reason. They aren’t there just to run the ball. They are there to pick up these kind of exotic blitzes and catch the football. These are not the things the quicker smaller backs are capable of usually.

Lover their QB although i don’t find him particularly accurate. He is big and strong. Pretty good feet and gets north south in a hurry.

I don’t honestly think USF played alabama as close as the score suggest in the first three quarters…..well at least this year. They played them better last year beacause Alabama kept having touchdowns called back for holding plays. Alabamas offensive line is an adventure this year to say the least. They get beat a lot for an Alabama Oline and get a lot of penalties. To be honest I don’t consider Alabama the same Alabama we have seen through the years. Yes, the talent is similar but I don’t see the same discipline.

USF plays with and uptempo style. They like to try to come at you fast on offense. Switch out recievers a lot and tire out defensive backs. This team is not to be taken lightly and yes it is the best team we have played thus far but that isn’t honestly saying much…..lol. if Miami isn’t reading its own press clippings we should be able to win this game pretty convincingly.

This is a game for the Offensive line, RBs and Tight Ends. Their defense is fast but they just do not have our talent. All Miami needs to do is play with discipline.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2mBQ4q_0vaWHaif00

“They’re doing their thing. They’re showing out, and they look really impressive. Showing that they can get the receivers the ball in all types of ways and quarterback play looks great even from their backups. It looks pretty good.”

Riverview (Fla.) Armwood 4-star WR Tyler Williams, who Miami’s trying to sway from a Georgia commitment
