Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood 2027 running back Brayden Tyson continues to stack up the accolades. He broke Brookwood’s rushing record on Wednesday night against rival Parkview.

Tyson ran for 362 yards on just 19 carries. He also had four touchdowns to help Brookwood to a 51-13 win over Parkview.

Tyson has already been a productive player from the moment he stepped into high school. He ran for over 1,000 yards as a freshman.

He had major offers from programs around the country including his father’s former team Georgia. Tyson came into high school as a well-known name in the Gwinnett youth leagues. His father D’Angelo Tyson played for Georgia and then the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL.

This achievement stands out for the talented sophomore.

“It meant a lot,” Tyson told DawgsHQ. “It wouldn’t have been possible without my whole offense.”

Brookwood had a comfortable lead late in the game. Tyson was made aware of how close he was to the record in the fourth quarter.

He and his team decided to go for it.

“During the 4th quarter they told me how many yards I had and my whole team was supportive wanting me to break the school record,” Tyson said.

Tyson will continue to rack up yards but his goal is a team-oriented one for the 6-1 Broncos.

    “Win out,” Tyson said.
