    Commit Tracker: Notre Dame WR recruit Dylan Faison has record-setting Monday night

    Even Hurricane Milton could not keep Notre Dame 2026 class wide receiver Dylan Faison from having a record-setting game in Week 8. Despite Faison’s team having its game postponed by three days, the 5-11, 170-pounder had a Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew’s School single-game record with four touchdowns on Monday night.

    Each week during this high school football season, Blue & Gold will report on how each Notre Dame Fighting Irish commit and their teams perform during the 2024 football season. This week, there were two new additions to the list.

    Here is how Faison, quarterback Blake Hebert , offensive lineman Cameron Herron and 15 other Notre Dame commits competed from Oct. 10-14 in Week 8 fared.

    Four-star OT Matty Augustine

    Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick School (5-0) beat Suffield (Conn.) Suffield Academy (2-2) 35-7. With Augustine and the Bruins’ O-line’s help, their rushers gained 255 yards on the ground.

    Next game: vs. Andover (Mass.) Phillips Academy (0-4) Oct. 15.

    Three-star WR Jerome Bettis Jr.

    Caught 4 passes for 102 yards and 1 touchdown and 4 solo tackles in College Park (Ga.) Woodward Academy ‘s (5-3) 49-17 win against Atlanta (Ga.) Dunwoody (2-6).

    Next game: at Decatur (Ga.) High (7-0) Oct. 25.

    Season stats: 8 games | 19 receptions, 377 yards, 5 TD | 28 tackles (24 solo), 1 pass breakup, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles.

    Four-star OT Will Black

    Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall (4-0) beat Watertown (Conn.) The Taft School (1-3) 52-3. Black and the Wild Boars O-line paved the way for its rushers to register 138 yards; their team had 503 total yards.

    Next game: at Lakeville (Conn.) Hotchkiss School (1-3) Oct. 19.

    Four-star S JaDon Blair

    Added 4 solo tackles and an interception in Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor ‘s (5-2) 52-7 victory against Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County (2-6). Also had 4 catches for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns and a 7-yard carry.

    Next game: at Kernersville (N.C.) Glenn (2-5) Oct. 18.

    Season stats: 6 games | 31 tackles (37 solo), 1 TFL, 1 caused fumble, 1 interception; 15 catches, 302 yards, 4 touchdowns; 2 carries, 8 yards; 3 punt returns, 11 yards.

    Four-star EDGE Christopher Burgess Jr.

    Stashed 11 tackles (6 solo), including 3 for loss, and 2 quarterback hurries in Chicago Simeon ‘s (6-1) 22-20 victory over Chicago Kenwood (2-5).

    Next game: at Chicago Johnson (2-4) Oct. 19.

    Season stats: 7 games | 73 tackles (38 solo), 6 TFLs, 3 sacks, 7 quarterback hurries, 1 pass breakup, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery.

    Three-star WR Elijah Burress

    Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic (6-0) had a bye week.

    Next game: at Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep (3-3) Oct. 17.

    Three-star DL Davion Dixon

    Miami Palmetto (4-2) had a bye week.

    Three-star WR Dylan Faison (Notre Dame 2026 commit)

    Finished with 6 catches for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns and 2 carries for 14 yards and a score in Boca Raton (Fla.) Saint Andrew’s (4-3) 35-8 victory against Deerfield Beach (Fla.) Somerset Academy Key (4-3) on Monday.

    Four-star TE James Flanigan

    Caught 3 passes for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns and had 3 tackles (2 solo), 1 for loss, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble in Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame de la Baie’s (8-0) 56-14 win against Green Bay (Wis.) West (2-5).

    Notre Dame’s next game: vs. Oshkosh (Wis.) Oshkosh North (7-2) Oct. 18.

    Season stats: 7 games | 13 receptions, 263 yards, 6 touchdowns; 27 tackles (15 solo), 7 TFLs, 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery.

    Four-star DB Dallas Golden

    Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep ‘s (3-3) game against Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic (2-4) did not occur.

    Next game: vs. Tampa (Fla.) Plant (3-3) Oct. 18.

    Season stats: 6 games | 2 tackles, 1 pass breakup; 21 receptions, 317 yards, 2 TD; 64 rushes, 478 yards, 2 TD; 6 kick returns, 102 yards.

    Four-star QB Noah Grubbs (Notre Dame 2026 commit)

    Connected on 17-36 throws for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns to help Lake Mary (Fla.) High (5-2) hand Sanford (Fla.) Seminole (6-1) its first loss of the season on Monday with a 29-14 win.

    Next game: at Orlando (Fla.) Evans (4-2) Oct. 18.

    Season stats: 7 games | 107-175, 1,465 yards, 18 TD, 6 INT; 5 carries, 32 yards, 1 touchdown.

    Three-star QB Blake Hebert

    Completed 10-19 passes for 147 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick School ‘s (5-0) 35-7 win over Suffield (Conn.) Suffield Academy (2-2). Also had 8 carries for 119 yards and another score.

    Next game: vs. Andover (Mass.) Phillips Academy (0-4) Oct. 15.

    Three-star OL Cameron Herron

    In Indianapolis Warren Central’s (7-1) 32-3 victory against Carmel (Ind.) High (3-5), Herron and the Warriors O-line helped their rushers rack up 229 yards and 4 touchdowns on 45 carries (5.1 yards per carry). They only surrendered 3 tackles for loss.

    Next game: vs. Indianapolis Cathedral (5-2) Oct. 18.

    Four-star EDGE Dominik Hulak

    Had 2 catches for 40 yards and 2 touchdowns in Chicago IC Catholic Prep ‘s (2-4) victory over Aurora (Ill.) Marmion (4-3). Also had 7 kickoffs that totaled 385 yards.

    Next game: vs. Arlington Heights (Ill.) Saint Viator (3-4) Oct. 18.
