“Travis Hunter is expected back tonight against Arizona. It will be interesting to see how many snaps he plays. In the full games he’s played this season, he has averaged 127 snaps,” Thamel said. “He’s obviously the two-way sensation who’s out in front of the Heisman race right now, and Hunter looks to be back.

“Last year when he came off injury against Stanford , he played over 150 snaps.”

Travis Hunter missed the second half of Colorado’s loss to Kansas State last week, as did wide receiver Jimmy Horn .

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders revealed earlier this week that two-way superstar Travis Hunter “should play for certain.”

Hunter suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury in the second quarter. He made several trips back and forth between the sidelines and the locker room before missing the closing snaps heading into halftime and not returning to the ball game.

He recorded three catches for 26 yards and one tackle in his 44 snaps before spending the remainder of the game on the sideline in his full equipment and a shoulder brace.

“He was just there to support his team, and he did a good job at it,” Sanders said .

The Heisman candidate and arguably favorite has a team-high 49 catches for 587 yards and six touchdowns on the season. Travis Hunter also has two interceptions to lead the way for Colorado. He has added 17 tackles, one tackle for loss, three pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Colorado is 4-2 on the season entering Saturday’s game against Arizona. With a win, the Buffaloes would not only move to within a game of being bowl eligible but it would also be a big boost for Travis Hunter in his quest to win the Heisman. The good news is the injury apparently wasn’t serious.
