The On3 Massey Ratings — which were officially used during the BCS era and have generated college high school sports team rankings since 1995 — rank sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule and margin of victory.

    1. Duncanville

    Previous: No. 1

Duncanville handled rival DeSoto 42-20 three weeks ago and has followed that win up with a pair of easy wins against Lancaster and Horn. The Panthers are big favorites in both of their remaining regular season games against Mesquite and Cedar Hill.

    2. North Shore

    Previous: No. 5 (+3)

North Shore went on the road to Atascocita last weekend as a slight underdog but came away with the 27-23 upset win to remain undefeated and jump three spots in this week’s rankings. The Mustangs will face C.E. King this weekend before closing with a huge showdown with No. 10 Summer Creek.

    3. Southlake Carroll

    Previous: No. 3

Southlake Carroll has cruised through the 2024 season with an undefeated record and has played just one Texas top-25 team (Trinity). The Dragons defeated Bell 73-7 over the weekend and are once again big favorites this Friday against Keller Central.

    4. North Crowley

    Previous: No. 4

North Crowley blew out Boswell 67-0 to improve to 8-0 on the year ahead of its final two games against Mansfield and Crowley. The Panthers are heavily favored in both and are expected to head into the state playoffs at 10-0.

    5. Atascocita

    Previous: No. 2 (-3)

Atascocita tumbled three spots after dropping its first game of the season, 27-23 to Houston North Shore. Wins against No. 7 Westlake and No. 10 Summer Creek stand out on the schedule, and the Eagles will end the year heavily favored against Channelview and Goose Creek Memorial.

    6. DeSoto

    Previous: No. 6

DeSoto is 6-2 this season with losses to No. 6 North Crowley and No. 2 Duncanville. The Eagles have bounced back from that Duncanville loss with a 50-24 win against Horn and most recently a 63-24 victory over Cedar Hill. DeSoto will play Dallas Skyline this week before facing Lancaster to end the year.

    7. Westlake

    Previous: No. 8 (+1)

The Chaps got another big ranked win over the weekend, outlasting rival and No. 15 Lake Travis 28-16. Westlake now sits at 7-1 with games against Del Valle and Dripping Springs remaining, both of which they’re heavily favored to win.

    8. Allen

    Previous: No. 10 (+2)

Allen made a significant move up this week’s rankings after a key 22-7 win over No. 20 Prosper on Friday night. The Eagles are undefeated with two weeks to go, facing McKinney Boyd this week before welcoming a 6-2 Plano East squad for the regular season finale.

    9. Coppell

    Previous: No. 7 (-2)

Despite dropping a few spots, the Cowboys remain unblemished after a dominant 53-0 beatdown of Braswell over the weekend. Two challenges stand between them and an undefeated regular season: 5-3 Flower Mound and 5-3 Marcus.

    10. Summer Creek

    Previous: No. 9 (-1)

After obliterating Goose Creek Memorial 81-6 last week, the Bulldogs got a bit more of a challenge this week from Humble. They still came out with a 48-17 victory and will now face Kingwood before a huge top-10 tilt against No. 2 North Shore.
