Funding awarded for two local road improvement projects
( KAIR)--A combined $26 million is awarded for 33 road improvement projects in Kansas communities, including two in the local area. According to a release from the office of Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, the selected projects will receive a portion of the total funding through the Kansas Department of Transportation's City Connecting Link Improvement Program( CCLIP).

This year’s Furniture Amnesty Day event will take place starting at 8 a.m. Friday, July 26 in City Park. MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan held a ribbon cutting today for its new Early Learning Center. The new center will serve kids from 6 weeks to 5 years old. This adds to the other 13 locations across Manhattan and Wamego, which serve elementary to 18-year-olds. There are 9 classrooms and the club is licensed for 156 kids who will participate in fun activities to prepare them for school. Club members said this facility is crucial to the region.
