Renewable energy storage company to lease Great Bend property
Takkion Operating LLC, a logistics and transloading provider for renewable energy, will be creating a space in Great Bend. There are currently 14.6 acres of land on the north end of the Great Bend Municipal Airport that are being leased for storage. With WATCO leasing five acres of the parcel on a month-to-month contract, the Great Bend City Council approved a lease with Takkion for 9.6 acres.

He announced this week that his TeamSeas initiative has successfully removed over 34-million pounds of trash from the ocean. The project, launched by MrBeast and fellow YouTuber Mark Rober in October 2021, aimed to raise $30-million to remove 30-million pounds of trash from the world’s oceans and rivers. Two days ago, MrBeast shared that TeamSeas exceeded their goal, removing 34,080,191 pounds of trash from oceans worldwide. With all his kindness and giving, a lot of people are wondering what he plans to do next. Giving back in a big way thanks to his success, MrBeast, THAT’S AWESOME.
DA rules on Kansas high school baseball animal cruelty case
SEDGWICK COUNTY —In April, USD 262 Valley Center suspended the schools baseball season due to an investigation of alleged animal cruelty after a chicken was killed on the baseball field at the high school before a game, according to the Valley Center Department of Public Safety.
