City of Onalaska unveils "Live Ona 20-40" comprehensive plan

ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) -- The city of Onalaska is unveiling its "Live Ona 20-40" comprehensive plan.

The City of Onalaska worked alongside an urban planning firm over the past year creating a vision for the next 10 to 20 years.

Tuesday was the last public workshop giving people another opportunity to share their ideas about the plan.

The plan covers everything from city development, housing affordability and the historic preservation of the city.

"The next step was working towards identifying the goals and strategies that are before many people this evening, and the public had opportunities to comment on what they liked, what they didn't like, so every round of a workshop the public had the opportunity to give that feedback," said Planning Director Katie Aspenson.

The City of Onalaska hopes to start adopting the plan in the fall.
