SPENCER, Iowa (KWWL) -- Willie Ray's Q Shack arrived in Spencer, Iowa this afternoon, to help with meals after devastating flooding in the area. It's the ninth trip for the volunteers. KWWL is told they raised around four grand for the trip, which will last through next Tuesday. The crew plans to return on Wednesday.

The Breda American Legion Riders are hosting their annual District 8 Legacy Run next weekend to raise funds for veterans and their families. The ride is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, beginning at the Breda American Legion Hall. Chapter President Gary Schmitz says the Veterans & Children Foundation, which helps veterans and military personnel facing unexpected financial challenges, is this year’s beneficiary. FEMA opening disaster recovery center in Council Bluffs for tornado, flooding victims
(Council Bluffs) -- A new FEMA disaster recovery center is opening in Council Bluffs for residents impacted by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding this spring. The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Monday they are opening new disaster recovery centers in Polk and Pottawattamie counties this week, including at the Charles Lakin Human Services Campus north parking lot at 815 North 16th Street in Council Bluffs. FEMA officials say the center is open from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday this week with representatives from FEMA and the Small Business Administration providing information on available services, explaining assistance programs, and helping survivors complete or check the status of their applications.
Three Teens Hurt in Wakefield Township Crash
(KNSI) — Three teenagers were hurt following a crash in Wakefield Township Wednesday evening.
