Power Restored to Many Following Tuesday's Tornado in Rome; Around 5,000 Still Without Electricity
ROME, N.Y. -- National Grid is steadily advancing in the restoration of power to those affected by the tornado. In Oneida County, more than 5,000 customers remain without power, a decrease from 17,000 reported at this time yesterday, while Herkimer County has about 700 customers without power, down from 1,900.

TRENTON- A local resident is faced with an accusation stemming from an alleged domestic dispute Monday in Oneida County, authorities say. Karyona L. Cittadino, 28, of Barneveld, NY was arrested Monday morning by the New York State Police (Remsen). Cittadino is formally charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

Central New York Responders Go Above and Beyond to Assist Tornado Victims
Cleanup efforts are underway after a tornado outbreak devastated parts of Central New York, particularly the City of Rome. With over 25,000 customers in Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida County currently without power; crews from across the United States and Canada are heading to the area to assist with restoration. A State of Emergency has since been declared by Governor Kathy Hochul to further assist with recovery efforts.
Storms cause power outage along Kellogg Road, temporary stop signs in place
NEW HARTFORD — As a result of the severe weather that swept through Oneida and Madison counties on Tuesday, July 16, parts of Kellogg Road in New Hartford have been left without power.
