26-year-old man killed in possible road rage shooting in Diamond Bar
A suspect was taken into custody after a 26-year-old man was shot and killed during a possible road rage incident in Diamond Bar.The incident happened around 6:20 a.m. Monday at a Park & Ride on Pathfinder Road off the northbound 57 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.The agency said the man was shot following a verbal altercation with somebody that was parked next to him. He tried to drive away, but he lost control of the car and crashed into a concrete wall.The victim, identified as Nicholas Moody, of Apple Valley, died at the scene. A passenger who was in his car was not injured.One person was arrested, but authorities could not provide information about that individual.

California judge accused of killing his wife is released on $2 million bail
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A California judge charged with killing his wife has been released from jail on $2 million bail. Orange County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Ferguson was released Friday from the custody of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, online jail records show. Ferguson, 74, was taken back into custody last month after the judge overseeing his case determined that he lied about drinking alcohol while he was out on bail. Ferguson pleaded not guilty last year to murder in the shooting death of his wife, Sheryl Ferguson, which his lawyer at the time said was accidental. Authorities said the couple had been arguing in August 2023 and Ferguson had been drinking when he pulled a pistol from an ankle holster and shot her in the chest.

Dodger blue is taking over lawns in the Southland thanks to two Monrovia teens.Joshua Menlove and Jensen Kofford have a successful side gig painting fans' lawns.The Dodgers logos are in high demand right now because of the World Series, but Menlove and Kofford do all of the other local teams.They've been painting team signs on lawns since the pandemic lockdown when they pranked their uncle - an Angels fan - by painting Dodgers across his lawn.The duo charge $30 per sign, or $50 for two.You can find them on Instagram @lalawnart.
Buena Park police officers crash into each other while responding to call, video shows
Two Buena Park police officers were involved in a crash overnight as they were responding to a call in Anaheim.The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, near Dale Street and Yale Avenue, as officers were responding to another Buena Park officer who needed help.That officer was struggling with a suspect who was eventually taken into custody.The responding officers sped to the location, but crashed their patrol cars into each other. The collision was captured on video.The officers involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be evaluated and later returned to work.
