Roseland Waterpark will remain closed through Wednesday
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – Roseland Waterpark will remain closed through Wednesday as crews work to repair damaged power lines on Eastern Boulevard from this week’s storms. The waterpark says it’s ready to open as soon as the boulevard is cleared for traffic. The waterpark was closed on Tuesday as well. A statement from Roseland Waterpark says:

Downed trees, power lines, and property damage reported after severe storms hit Livingston and Ontario counties
CALEDONIA, N.Y. — Neighbors in Caledonia and Farmington say severe storms brought downed trees, powerlines, and damage to their property on Monday afternoon. “We got the alert on our phones, tornado in the area, we turned on Channel 10 and listened to Stacey and she said at 4:15 this place is going to be rocking, at 4:15 this place was rocking,” Michael Pullybank said.
Storm levels trees at Kershaw Park
CANANDAIGUA — The swimming area at Kershaw Park was closed July 16 after storms that tore through the area on the previous afternoon downed numerous trees at the park. City Manager John Goodwin said the city was impacted by severe weather, resulting in extensive tree damage at Kershaw and Lakefront parks. Crews were working to clean up the damage.
Two Rochester area organizations awarded AARP grants
Two local organizations are among 10 throughout New York receiving a Community Challenge grant from AARP. Lifespan of Greater Rochester Inc. will receive $10,000 for a volunteer driver program to provide older adults transportation to attend medical appointments, grocery shop and run errands. Volunteers will also accompany older residents for out-patient medical procedures.

Did a tornado touch down in upstate NY? NWS sending team to investigate
It is not yet clear whether a tornado touched down in Ontario County in upstate New York on Monday afternoon. The National Weather Service in Buffalo on Tuesday will send a team to Canandaigua and likely also Victor to survey damage in the area to determine whether a tornado touched down in the area just before 5 p.m. on Monday, said Weather Service Meteorologist Jon Campbell.
