With heavy rain expected, Ontario County makes sandbags available to Canandaigua residents
CANANDAIGUA — In response to anticipated rainfall Wednesday, July 10, Ontario County is making sandbags available for city of Canandaigua residents to pick up. Starting July 9, sandbags will be available for pickup at the Ontario County Safety Training Facility, 2914 County Road 48, Canandaigua. Motorists are asked to drive to the back of the access road and the sandbags will be adjacent to the fire training burn building.

My prior column about food security in the area sparked a lively discussion, and I appreciate the thoughtful feedback. Most people agree that there is an issue, even if we are still working on developing a consensus about how to best, and most immediately, work to begin addressing it.
