Penn State softball has added transfers Jordan George, Meagan Ricks, and Kaylie Walters as additions to its roster, it announced Tuesday. All three players work in the infield.

“I am thrilled to announce the addition of Jordan, Meagan, and Kaylie to our team, and we are very excited for their arrival to campus this fall,” head coach Clarisa Crowell said in a release. “Their experience and success at the Division I level will be a great benefit to our team, and I know that they will be significant contributors.”

George comes to Penn State after one season at Pitt. She recorded a .333 batting average, paired with two home runs, and her 1.026 first-year OPS led the Panthers last season.

Ricks spent four years at Florida Gulf Coast before coming to Penn State. She was an all-conference selection in 2023 and amassed 127 career appearances and 112 starts. Across four years, Ricks recorded 74 hits, 49 runs, 22 combined extra-base, and 32 career stolen bases.

Walters, also a rising sophomore, is coming from St. Francis. Walters started in all 55 games and contributed 42 hits, 41 runs scored, 45 walks, 29 steals, and a .473 on-base percentage ranked inside the top 100 nationally. She also earned some NCAA Tournament experience with the Red Flash last season.

The 2024 season proved historic for the Nittany Lions, who reached their first NCAA Tournament since 2011. Led by rising sophomore pitcher Bridget Nemeth, the Nittany Lions finished last year with a 35-20 record.
