Penn State Athletics Receives $25 Million Donation Toward Beaver Stadium Renovations

Penn State Athletics has received a $25 million donation from the Misitano Family and PAM Health for the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project. The gift, which will cut into the $700 million budget for Beaver Stadium renovations, was the second-largest in the history of Penn State Athletics.

Anthony Misitano is the founder and CEO of PAM Health, a Pennslyvania-based medical company. Misitano has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the College of Health and Human Development and a master’s degree in public administration with an emphasis in organizational improvement in health care from Penn State.

Upon the completion of the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project, the Misitanos will have the newly constructed West Tower recognize their donation. The West Tower will be home to a welcome center, expanded concourses with open views of the field and modern amenities, private luxury suites, loge boxes, and two distinct club seat experiences with lounge access.

Misitano, his wife Catherine, and their daughter Brittany have been lifelong Penn State football fans. Anthony Misitano and his daughter, Catherine, a Penn State grad, have been season ticket holders since 1978 and previously provided significant gifts to the Football Excellence Fund. The family has also provided endowed scholarships for the field hockey, women’s hockey, and women’s basketball programs.

“It is a true honor for our family to contribute to the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project,” said Anthony Misitano said in a statement . “This initiative is essential in maintaining Penn State’s status as one of the nation’s elite institutions, and we are proud to support it.”

Beaver Stadium renovations, which were approved in full by Penn State’s Board of Trustees in May, are scheduled to last through 2027. Winterization of the stadium for potential home College Football Playoff games is already in the works and will be completed before any potential games in 2024. Upgrades to video boards, concourses, and more will be completed by the Bowling Green game on September 7.
