Ramyun Studio To Open In Downtown State College

Ramyun Studio is set to open in downtown State College at 208 E Calder Way. The restaurant, which specializes in instant ramen, will tentatively begin serving customers on Sunday, September 29, or shortly thereafter.

Ramyun Studio “has introduced the so-called Hangang Ramyun Cooker, which is currently in the spotlight in Korea and Asia,” the restaurant said in a release. “Customers can choose their own Ramyun and toppings and prepare their own hot meal in a special bowl on-site in a matter of minutes. It is a new model for a fast and convenient instant Ramyun service facility where customers can cook their own instant ramen according to their own likings with minimal preparation.”

Don Kim, a native of South Korea, is beginning his second venture in State College with Ramyun Studio. Kim has run the Cold Stone Creamery on Beaver Avenue for seven years.

Ramyun Studio, per its Instagram , will be open until 11:30 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 1 a.m. Thursday and Friday. It will open each day at 11:30 a.m.
