Penn State-Themed Canned Cocktails We Want To See In Stores

Who said Champs should be the only place you can get a Dirty Sprite?

Earlier this year, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signed a bill that made it legal for grocery stores, convenience stores, and other establishments to sell canned cocktails, provided they already sell alcohol and get a special permit.

That bill recently went into effect, allowing businesses like McLanahan’s to sell canned drinks that previously could only be sold at state-run liquor stores. To celebrate this new availability, we decided to brainstorm some Penn State-themed cocktails from our favorite bars around town we think should come in cans.

    Doggie’s Pub Raspberry Lemonade

This refreshing staple at Doggie’s Pub is sure to be a hit on hot summer days.

    Champs’ Dollar Vodka Soda

I’m not sure about the financial logistics of canning and selling Champs’ vodka sodas, which are famously only a dollar on Thursdays, but that’s not my job. I just design the cans.

    Pickle’s Punch

To be completely honest, I’m not sure what’s even in a Pickle’s Punch, but I do know that it tastes delicious and that people would absolutely buy these.

    The Phyrst’s Irish Trash Can

The Phyrst’s famous “Irish Trash Can” is sure to get your weekend going with a bang. Just don’t drink too many of these, or you’ll be bouncing off the walls.

    Champs’ Dirty Sprite

Champs’ Dirty Sprite may be the most famous cocktail in State College, so it only makes sense that it would come in a can. Of course, they’d sell the original grape flavor, but I’d like to think that the raspberry alternative would also be popular.

    Pman’s Zipper

Primanti Brother’s Zipper is a staple, so putting this black cherry-flavored drink in a can only makes sense.

    Pickle’s Highball

An underrated State College cocktail in my opinion, the Highball at Bill Pickle’s Taproom would make for a nice sipping drink after a long day.

    Cafe 210’s Skinny Pitcher

Cafe 210 is known for many different flavors of its iconic pitchers, but I think most people would agree that the Skinny Pitcher is the most popular and would sell the best in a can.
