Opa-locka, FL - A workplace argument over a finger poke turned deadly when a man shot and killed his co-worker on Monday.

Authorities say the argument escalated into a fatal shooting at Arrow Asphalt & Engineering, resulting in the death of 38-year-old Andre Lenard White who was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot multiple times.

Opa-locka police arrested 40-year-old Maurice Antwan Williams in connection with the shooting.

According to investigators, tensions between the two had been brewing since July 9th when an altercation led to White poking Williams in the forehead.

The incident resulted in Williams being sent home from the job site.

On Monday, Williams returned to the workplace and confronted White.

Following the shooting, Williams remained at the scene and was taken into custody.

Williams is facing a charge of second-degree murder and is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
