OPELOUSAS, La. ( KLFY ) – Family and friends of Macy Richard and Jerilyn Hebert gathered to lay their loved ones to rest and pay tribute to them in a very special way.

Hebert and Richard died in a boating accident in Toledo bend during May’s heavy storms. Their loss sent shock waves to their family as they mourn the passing of the mother and daughter.

Through the mourning, also came beauty, as the family asked all Jeep owners in the area to ride in the procession in honor of Hebert’s love for the vehicle. As dozens of Jeep drivers took part in the procession, News 10 caught up with Hebert’s best friend to talk about how special it was for drivers to take part.

“It was such a beautiful thing. Jerilyn bought her jeep sometime this year and she loved it. If she would have seen all the Jeeps behind her procession, she would have had a smile. And I know she did up in Heaven to see what was going on to,” says Lorinda.
