Commission requests money to repair Heymann Performing Arts Center
A new study being contracted by the Heymann Commission will again look at the current site of the Heymann Performing Arts Center, examining whether to renovate the historic facility as opposed to replacing it. Leroy Sullivan is on the ballot seeking a sixth term as Donaldsonville’s mayor, opposed for the second time by Glen Price. Price’s 2020 bid to unseat Sullivan came up woefully short, winning 30% of the vote in a three-candidate election that Sullivan won without the need of a runoff. Bombers drop doubleheader to Cane Cutters
YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The Acadiana Cane Cutters swept a doubleheader with the Brazos Valley Bombers on Sunday night in Texas Collegiate League play. The Cane Cutters grabbed a 5-4 walk-off victory in the opener in 11 innings to snap the Bombers’ eight-game winning streak. Acadiana added a 7-5 victory in the nightcap.
