The Opp and Covington County Area Chamber of Commerce will give back to local educators with a “Tools for Teachers” supply drive being held during the month of July.

Supplies may be dropped off at Opp Market and Home Warehouse located at 28291 Hunters Drive in Opp from now through Wednesday, July 31. Those who contribute to the cause will receive a 10 percent off coupon with each donation made.

“We are excited to announce our Tools for Teachers supply drive in July. Our community appreciates all of our local teachers and those who make a difference in the field of education each school year. Let’s support them with the supplies they need to have a successful school year,” Opp and Covington County Chamber of Commerce Executive Administrator Joni Lolley said.

Items that may be donated include notebook paper, Kleenex tissue, Clorox wipes, all-purpose cleaning spray, paper towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, dry-erase markers, pens and pencils, printer paper, card stock, and highlighters.

Opp City Schools will hold teacher in-service beginning Monday, July 29. Students will return for the first day of school on Monday, August 5.
