Opera at The Coliseum: A Spectacular Evening at The Resort at Pelican Hill

Step into a world where opera meets luxury under the open sky. On October 5, The Resort at Pelican Hill will unveil "Opera at The Coliseum," its inaugural open-air opera event set against a stunning Newport Beach coastal backdrop. In partnership with the Pacific Vocal Series and presenting sponsor Lugano Diamonds, the evening promises an extraordinary blend of world-class music and opulent ambiance.

Guests will enjoy a Mediterranean-inspired program at the Resort’s exquisite Coliseum Pool. Curated by Jay Colwell, president of the Pacific Vocal Series, the hourlong performance will feature an impressive lineup of international and Grammy award-winning artists including singers Deanna Breiwick (soprano), Kayleigh Decker (mezzo-soprano), Frederick Ballentine (tenor), Alexander Birch Elliott (baritone), and pianist Peter Walsh. The repertoire will showcase grand opera classics from the Italian and French traditions, performed in a setting that enhances the music’s natural acoustics.

The circular design and acoustics of the Coliseum Pool will elevate the ambiance, with artists moving gracefully in and out of the water, adding a dynamic visual element to the performance as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean.

Guests can choose from a range of ticket options, including General Admission Tables ($600 to $1,200) and VIP Tables & Suites ($700 to $7,200). Each table for two includes a Champagne welcome toast, a bottle of pre-selected red or white wine or Champagne, and a pre-fixe presentation of Italian-inspired aperitivo fare. General Admission tickets include valet parking at the Main Estate. VIP tickets include valet parking at the Coliseum, early entry, and access to an exclusive pre-performance reception.
