Heather Dubrow on ‘What Went Wrong’ With New RHOC Star Katie Ginella

There’s a new Housewife in the OC. Katie Ginella is a former golf reporter and mom of four children, aged 6 to 19. She and her husband, Matt Ginella , a well-known golf journalist and CEO of Fire Pit Collective, just moved from San Diego up to Orange County.

Katie has been friends with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke for years. When Katie and her family moved to the OC, Sutton introduced her to Gina Kirschenheiter , and they immediately hit it off.

Gina introduced her to the Real Housewives of Orange County . Katie may be a noob, but already, she has beef with Heather Dubrow . What happened?

Where’s the beef?

Heather thinks that Katie came in with some “pre-conceived notions, as sometimes happens when people join our show, unfortunately.” She believes things “might have gone differently” if Katie had come in with an open mind and just gotten to know her organically.

Actually, Katie and Heather met months before RHOC started filming Season 18. Katie and her husband attended Sutton’s Christmas party at her home in LA. Heather was there, but they didn’t say much more than a polite hello.

Later, the two women spent a little more time together “at the party when I officially met her for the season,” Katie said. “[Heather] was lovely at [that] party.”

Unfortunately, things went south for the new castmates when Katie came across “some information that I thought was very fun and lighthearted, [but Heather] didn’t agree,” Katie shared. “That [became] a very big … tension point for the two of us throughout the entire season.”

But apparently, Heather’s not the only one to have issues with the new girl. During filming for the season, a fan overheard an argument between Gina and Katie.

“You’re incorrect. You are lying about this, and what you’re doing here, Katie, is not right, and I’m not okay with it,” Gina screamed while being recorded by the fan . “I brought you in to be my friend – into this group. You’re making your bullsh*t my bullsh*t, and I don’t appreciate that.”

Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
