Tampa, FL - A Florida man with a disturbing pattern of impersonating law enforcement officials for nearly a decade has been arrested on a kidnapping charge.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) announced the arrest on social media.

According to the OCSO, Christopher Levins' troubling behavior began at the young age of 16 in 2013.

He was first arrested for attempting to detain someone while wearing police attire.

Levins served a brief stint at a youth academy before being released. However, his charade continued.

Just three years later in 2016, Levins, now 18, fabricated an identity as an undercover agent with a K-9 partner.

This impersonation landed him in legal trouble again, with a charge of firearm possession by a convicted felon.

While awaiting trial, Levins reportedly impersonated a Homeland Security officer at the very same youth academy where he was previously housed.

Levins' string of impersonations didn't stop there.

In 2017, he was allegedly arrested at the University of South Florida for posing as an FBI K-9 officer.

Despite these repeated offenses, upon his release from prison in 2018, Levins continued his dangerous charade.

He reportedly handcuffed a woman while pretending to be a police officer and even took her to the Lake County jail. T

his incident, investigated further in 2023, resulted in Levins facing kidnapping charges for the 2018 incident.

The OCSO is urging anyone who may have encountered Levins while he was impersonating a law enforcement officer to contact their Intelligence Section at intel@ocsofl.com.
