ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Rockford East opened up the floodgates to start week one with Zy’air Lee rushing for three touchdowns in the E-Rabs 32-20 victory over Jefferson. Jefferson got on the board first, scoring on their second drive of the game on a four-yard rush from Lashawn Gathright. However, the E-Rabs answered right back in the second quarter with Lee’s first touchdown of the game. The two NIC-10 rivals kept this game close with some big-time runs down the stretch.
