Hawthorne Bridge to be closed this weekend
Multnomah County is set to close the Hawthorne bridge for the weekend due to repair work. The bridge will be closed starting at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, to all motorized vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. It is set to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5. In addition to this weekend’s closure, the westbound lanes are closed every weekday at 2 p.m. and reopen 5 a.m. the following morning. The westbound lane closures were previously announced in late July. All lanes and sidewalks will be reopened for the Providence Bridge Pedal, Saturday through Monday, Aug. 10 to 12.
