BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A surface trough near the Texas Coast is bringing disturbed weather in the northern Gulf of Mexico and pushing rain showers inland throughout the day. With the tropical moisture in place, we could see heavy rain, providing a flash flood threat, especially in areas with poor drainage. For this reason, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch that will remain in effect until 7 p.m. this evening. Rain and clouds will keep the temperatures down a bit today in the mid to upper 80s for the daytime high.
