Clackamas Community College’s nursing program has received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

ACEN accreditation indicates that a nursing program has clear and appropriate educational objectives and is working to achieve the objectives.

This recognition assures that CCC's nursing program meets the rigorous standards necessary for nursing education and reflects the college’s dedication to excellence in health care education.

”Nursing accreditation guarantees that a nursing school and nursing program meet the quality standards that ensure that graduates can safely practice as nurses,” said Beth Doyle, CCC nurse administrator. “This initial accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff and students.”

Nursing accreditation through the ACEN lasts five years for initial accreditation and eight years for continuing accreditation. ACEN surveys each program every year through an annual reporting process, ensuring accredited programs maintain their high standards and continue to provide exceptional education.

This initial accreditation not only enhances the reputation of CCC's nursing program but also assures prospective students and their families that the education they receive will prepare them for successful and impactful careers in nursing.
