Tucked away in the loft of a small Korean supermarket in Portland, you'll find the Always Spring Restaurant, a hidden gem that serves up some of the most authentic Korean cuisine in town. I can't help but rave about their Korean-style grilled cowboy bone and Gam Ja Tang (Korean-style potato pork bone soup). The flavors are so genuine, it's like a little piece of Korea right here in Portland.
The staff here are incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making every visit a delight. The menu is diverse and every dish I've tried has been a hit. From the spicy and chewy Haemul Bokkeun Udon loaded with big chunks of seafood, to the tender bone-in pork ribs, and the exquisite Pork Bulgogi, every bite is a culinary adventure. And let's not forget the Mandu (Korean-style dumplings) and Pajeon (Korean-style okonomiyaki), both of which are must-tries.
The restaurant may be small, but the service is fast and the place is clean. And while the wait can sometimes be long, trust me, the food is worth it. So, if you're in town and craving some authentic Korean food, do yourself a favor and check out Always Spring Restaurant. You won't be disappointed!
