My love affair with Wild Rose Northern Thai Eats has been a delicious journey. I've been there thrice and each visit has been a culinary delight. The sweet sausage fried rice, Gai Yang/Som Tom, and hot basil pork are my absolute favorites. The portions are generous and the service is swift. But, be warned, this place is a hot spot and can get crowded, so making a reservation is a smart move.
The food here is so good, it's been said to inspire people to move to Bend! The spice levels are authentic, so when you ask for a level 5, brace yourself for a fiery treat. The dishes here are unique, a refreshing change from your typical Thai restaurant. I've tried over 10 dishes and each one was a hit.
However, not everyone might share my enthusiasm. Some might find the food just okay and the small plates not as tasty. But, the atmosphere is enjoyable and the curry entree is a crowd-pleaser. The GAI YANG chicken is soft, moist, and flavorful and the KHAO SOI curry is a must-try. They also have a pretty good selection of cocktails and wines. The service is on point and if you can't find an online reservation, just stop by at 5pm and you can book a table for later as a walk-in. Just remember, parking might be a bit of a challenge. So, are you ready for a Thai treat?
