Recently, I had the chance to visit Powell's Seafood Restaurant, a place where you can bring your own seafood from the nearby market for them to cook. I must say, the concept is unique, but the taste was pretty average. However, their crab cooked in the 'avoiding the wind' style was a standout.

The fried crab was a fun experience, despite the effort needed to crack open the shell. The flavor was intriguing and the accompanying veggies were some of the best I've tasted in a while. The pepper squid, though, was a bit on the dry side and tough to chew.

Their menu also includes sesame beef, fried rice, and salt/pepper squid. The portions are generous, enough for two people. The authenticity of their Cantonese food is hard to find elsewhere, and the huge portions are a bonus. The steamed black cod, salt and pepper squid, and garlic gai lan were all delightful.

However, I must mention that the service could use some improvement. The staff seemed a bit rude and unapologetic for their mistakes. Despite being a regular customer, my recent experience was not up to par. But if you're looking for authentic Cantonese food and don't mind the service, Powell's Seafood Restaurant might be worth a visit.
