Stepping into Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen, I was immediately greeted by a bustling atmosphere and a long line of eager patrons. Despite the chill outside, I decided to order takeout, opting for the beef spring rolls and grilled beef rice - both of which were absolutely top-notch.
The restaurant operates in a unique way, where you order before you sit and gather your own cutlery and water. If you fancy more, there's a handy QR code at your seat to scan. The place gets busy quickly, so be prepared for a short wait. I tried their pork in two different dishes and it was fantastic. I also had a chance to sit at the bar, but do note that the drinks they serve are on the smaller side.
The ambience was great, with quick service and a fun, lively interior decor. The shrimp spring rolls arrived at the table before I could even sit down! The charbroiled chicken was amazing, as was the vermicelli bowl with pork. The chicken wings, however, didn't quite hit the mark for me. Despite the odd entrance where you need a table before ordering, the staff was generally helpful. The food came out quickly and the portions were very generous. Overall, it was a nice meal and I would definitely recommend Luc Lac for a casual, tasty meal.
